A swarm trap is a hive bait box or similar which is used to help attract bees to a certain location. The swarm trap is baited with an oil or or liquid that is scented with queen pheromone or similar. This lure is picked up by scout bees who are looking to find a new home for a swarm of bees.
While this device does not guarantee that the bees won't return to a roof or wall, it does help and makes it less likely that they will move into an area where you will then need an expensive removal.
There is an installation fee for when it is first installed. If you see bees in the swarm trap, call us and we will swap the box for a minimal fee. We then take the old swarm trap to the bee yard, give the bees a new home, and put a new swarm trap in place of the old one.
